Joint Media Release with Country Liberals Candidate for Solomon Kathy Ganley
The first stage of the Coalition Government’s decentralisation agenda has delivered ten jobs to Darwin in the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations.
We and the entire CLP team welcome this announcement as it will mean ten more well-paid jobs will be created, ten more families will be moving to the Territory, in turn creating huge flow-on benefits to our community and the Territory economy.
Territorians will be questioning Territory Labor and Mr Gosling’s commitment to creating new jobs outside Inner-City Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra after the New South Wales Labor MP Stephen Jones criticised the Coalition Government’s decision to create new 10 jobs in Darwin as part of the 2018 Budget.
Mr Jones has shockingly described the creation of 10 new jobs in Darwin as “BS”.
Mr Gosling must urgently stand up to the attacks on Darwin by his southern-centric and urban elite Labor colleagues and fight harder for new jobs to be created in Darwin.
Labor are masters at wrecking the economy and since Michael Gunner has been in power the Territory has suffered as jobs have been lost, investment is in freefall and business confidence is non-existent.
To help mitigate Michael Gunner’s absolutely reckless economic vandalism, Mr Gosling needs to support more families moving to the Territory which will help generate more activity in the Territory economy.
Each day that goes by confirms that only the CLP can be trusted to put Territory interests first.
