The Gunner Labor Government has welcomed the Country Liberals’ successful upgrade to facilities at Dripstone Cliffs.
Country Liberals Senator for the Northern Territory, Nigel Scullion, said it was pleasing but unsurprising that the Gunner Government is praising the Country Liberals investment in Northern Territory parks and recreation areas.
“The Country Liberals allocated $10.68 million for the Casuarina Coastal Reserve Experience Development Plan including the works at Dripstone Cliffs and tendered for contracts earlier this year”, Senator Scullion said.
“The completion of the Dripstone Cliffs project is a culmination of the partnership between the Country Liberals Government, the community and contractors for the works – I congratulate all involved.
“I supported the Country Liberals Government when it recognised that there had been underinvestment in our parks and recreation areas and allocated this significant investment to our most visited park.
“It is pleasing that the Gunner Government continues to recognise the positive achievements of the Country Liberals and I encourage it to start 2017 delivering new investment for the Territory rather than announcing Country Liberals’ projects once again.”
