Northern Territory a big loser in Federal Budget

“Last night’s Budget was a big taxing, big spending Labor Budget, with very little for the Northern Territory,” Senator Nigel Scullion said today.
“The Government has not taken a single tough decision to rein in its reckless and wasteful spending, and regional Australia misses out again. Labor’s plan to return the Budget to surplus within three years relies upon a great big new tax on Australia’s resources sector which will damage jobs and the economy in the Territory.
“This Budget clearly shows that the Federal Member for Solomon has no leverage or credibility in Canberra. Damian Hale has completely failed in representing the Territory’s interests.
