Country Liberals Senator for the Northern Territory, Nigel Scullion, has welcomed the forthcoming delivery of ‘Introduction to the Defence Market’ seminars, in the Northern Territory.
Seminars will be delivered in Darwin on 8 May and Katherine on 9 May by the Centre for Defence Industry Capability (CDIC) as part of a national series targeting businesses that have not yet worked with Defence and would like to learn more about the Defence market.
The ‘Introduction to the Defence Market’ seminars will provide valuable information to help aspiring defence industry businesses assess the defence market and understand how to pursue opportunities.
Senator Scullion said the Australian defence industry is front and centre of the Coalition Government’s vision and agenda for jobs and growth in the Australian economy.
“The Coalition Government is firmly focused on ensuring we are maximising the opportunities available for all Australian businesses to contribute to our historic $200 billion renewal of defence capability,” Senator Scullion said.
“It is great to see Territory companies contributing to the workforce behind the Defence force. Businesses such as Bradshaw & Timber Creek Contracting, Sitzler and Tiwi Partners. They not only provide support to the Australian Defence force, but also provide jobs opportunities and career options for workers and young people in the Northern Territory.”
“I am delighted the CDIC is delivering a seminar to businesses in Darwin and Katherine. The seminar is a great opportunity for businesses who haven’t previously considered working in the defence market to learn what is involved”.
